This recipe may seem simple, but it packs a lot of delicious chocolate flavor. When we need something quick and easy, satisfying and impressive this is our families go to winter dessert. Don’t forget to serve it with vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream topping! Enjoy!
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 6T oil
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups HOT water
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. In a 9×13 stir the flour, white sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Mix in the oil and milk spreading out evenly. Sprinkle with the brown sugar, remaining cocoa powder and chocolate chips. Add the vanilla to the hot water and gently pour over the top. Do Not stir.
3. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the surface appears dry and it is bubbling around the edges.
