If you are anything like me, you find that your mind can easily start to wander, leading to a wilderness of worry. Our minds are a daily battleground, but God has given us the weapon we need. . . His Word.
When soldiers train for battle, they must have a clear strategy to aim at the target and attack with precision. They cannot afford to miss their target by wasting time shooting at the wind and hoping to hit the bullseye!
Our prayer time is very much like that trained solder. We can be laser-beam focused with the mightiest weapon, God’s Word or led into a wandering wilderness of worry . . . weaponless in the battles we face each day.
Of course, there are many times I’ve been so overwhelmed with pain or frustration that all I could do was cry. With tears streaming down my cheeks all I could utter was “Jesus, help me!” Sometimes all I could get was “Jesus!”
Please know that our perfect God who is perfect love, hears your cries and would never ignore your heartfelt cries.
I’m referring to the times when you know the battle is real and you need weapons of warfare to battle this territory with precision.
The plan of attack can be exact!
When we know the Word of God, we can pray in accordance with the will of God.
The following are some specific things we can actively pray for our children, that we know, not only line up with God’s Word but also God’s Heart. You can also pray for your spouse or other loved ones with this guide.

“For this is the will of God: (child’s name) sanctification. To live a pure, holy, sanctified life.”
- Hebrews 6:1
